LLW Repository Ltd raised a record £6,116.73 for our chosen charity Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) over the past 12 months.

The workforce contributed over £4,000 during a string of initiatives over the year, such as a fancy dress sponsored walk and a Bake Off, and the company added a further £2,000 in match funding.

Diane Walker, from GNAAS, said: “We rely entirely on public donations and receive no government funding so support such as this is vital to the service that we provide.

“Without businesses like LLWR supporting the work that we do within the region, we would not be able to continue to deliver community-powered emergency care.

“Since 2001, GNAAS has grown from a one-man operation to a leading healthcare charity with three helicopters carrying out more than 1,000 missions every year. The backing from LLWR has been fantastic and greatly appreciated.”

Dennis Thompson, LLWR Managing Director, added: “This was another fantastic effort from our people, who stood by Great North Air Ambulance through the year and dug deep to support one fund-raising idea after another.”
